How do I embed a video directly on a Canvas page that has been uploaded to my files?

I thought that when you added a video from your files onto a page that the video would embed and not just link. Doesn't Canvas have a default video player that can play content from your files? The video in question I'm attempting to play is an mpeg4, which appears to be one of the supported video types.

Some of the video I have is of students that we want to share with parents, and we don't necessarily want to upload it to an external site. It would also be much cleaner for our community if the video would play directly on the page instead of having to download it from a link.

I"m sure there is an easy solution that is just eluding me :-) Thanks for your thoughts!
