We are migrating from Blackboard to Canvas very soon.  TROY Online uses Blackboard CMS a lot (to the tune of 600GB of documents, PDF, mp4, m4v, etc...)  Basically our staff and faculty use the CMS like a file server whereas they can use an not only link items within their course, but also provide an external link depending on the permissions settings on the parent folders or specific files (ex: https://troy.blackboard.com/bbcswebdav/institution/Ed%20Tech/temp/Assignment%20Tutorial.mp4 , Term 4 Newsletter - Faculty Edition , etc...)

The only App for Canvas I can find that might fit the bill is Drupal.  I have Drupal linked and running, but it looks more like Wordpress not file services.  This poses a few questions:

1. Does anyone have any recommendations for file hosting similar to Blackboard CMS?

2. If Drupal is the way to go, do you host it in house or with a third party service?  Does the hosting service also maintain the Drupal software and Canvas LTI?

Thank you in advance for any information you can share.

Aaron
