I am enrolled in an online class and am tying to view/find the materials that my professor shared with me, but don't know where to look
Hi Celia Holland, Welcome to the Canvas Community!
Could you answer a couple questions about what you're experiencing? That way, the Community can better address your concerns...and you'll be able to get to your course material more quickly!
When you first log-in to Canvas, is the course displayed on your Dashboard? If no, click on Courses, then on the list of all of your available courses, you need to click the star next to the course you need to access. Anything with a star next to its name will be displayed on your dashboard via a web browser or mobile app. If the course is not available for you to add to your dashboard, that's an issue that you'd have to solve with the help of someone at your institution.
If yes, meaning you see your course on your dashboard, where did your instructor say they would share the materials? One of the coolest things about Canvas is how versatile it is, but that also means that instructors may each have their own way of organizing content. I'd first look at the course's home page, then assignments, modules, and files. There should be links to each of these categories along the left-hand navigation of the course. If this isn't the case for you, what do you see? (It would be fantastic if you could share a screenshot or two...or be really descriptive!)
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Were you able to find an answer to your question? I am going to go ahead and mark this question as answered because there hasn't been any more activity in a while so I assume that you have the information that you need. If you still have a question about this or if you have information that you would like to share with the community, by all means, please do come back and leave a comment. Also, if this question has been answered by one of the previous replies, please feel free to mark that answer as correct.
