My first guess is that you will have to ensure your browser is up to Canvas' specifications. This guide will assist you, and also provide some helpful links: Which browsers does Canvas support? You are using Safari, which is definitely supported, but it must be version 10 or (better yet) the latest, version 11. Sometimes simply using a different browser will help, as well, so take advantage of link above and perhaps download another browser for yourself if you have not already.
