This collaborative document is provided in connection with this blog post: Connecting With Students: Consider Their Point Of View. All registered users can "Edit" this doc and add valuable instructional design resource links.

 

IMPORTANT: this is a collaborative doc, so if someone provides any off base info, let's work together to keep this updated and accurate!

 

Follow these instructions to share your wisdom:

  1. Click "Edit" on the right side of this screen.
  2. Determine the appropriate category (below) where your tool/resource should be added.
  3. Add a row (if needed) - Click the bottom left row-column > Click "Go" to add a row
  4. Add your resource!
    1. Type name of resource > Select Text > Press CMD+K (Mac) Ctrl+K (PC) and paste URL to more info > Press Enter
    2. Make a note of the target users for this resource: K-12 and/or Higher Ed (H-Ed)
    3. Enter the cost of the Resource or leave blank if you are unsure (Free, Freemium, Premium)
    4. Press the "@" key > Type your first name, then underscore > Type your last name > Click your name to add
      1. If someone has a question about a tool, they may ping you for more info 😉
    5. Provide a description how the tool is valuable and can help to engage and connect teachers and learners!
  5. Click the "Publish" button at the bottom of this screen.

    Quizizz Both Free  @james_sanzin ‌ A gamified quizzing platform,that is kind of like Kahoot. The major differences here are that Quizizz is student paced, can be assigned for homework, and you can easily pull questions from multiple quizzes created by other users into your own quiz.  
    Adobe Spark Both Free  @dejonghed07 ‌ Create videos and graphics directly online. Recently our faculty have been using it to create welcome videos, but also easy for students. Contains backgrounds, images, and text.

    Cult of Pedagogy Podcast K-12, H-Ed Free  @jonesn16 ‌ Great combination of guests, podcasts, and supporting articles. Topics include OER, teacher rights, ed tech, and more.
