[ARCHIVED] Archiving/Hiding old assignments?

I do several assignments daily with my students, so I'm looking for a way to hide or archive the ones from a few weeks ago. Even with only 3 weeks of assignments, linking to the newest one is getting pretty complicated since I have to scroll through 15 days of assignments before I find the ones I'm looking for.

Is there a way to archive or hide past assignments?

If you use modules to give students access to assignments (instead of the assignments tab), you can provide assignments in a weekly module, and then at the end of the week the module can be collapsed to a single line.  Pause for a second on arriving at the modules pages to wait for it to auto scroll to the top open module.

Steven is correct! Consider that if you are challenged by the sheer volume of assignments to sort through, imagine how it is for your students to find what is needed next.

There is a nice discussion about this at Share UDL Course Design Tips, Tricks and Techniques............ - UDL Module Design (by yours truly). Modules, as a course design tool, is likely one of the best pieces of work by Canvas.

What I do:

Go into "Edit" for the assignment:

Scroll down to "Display Grade as" and change it from whatever grading system I have to "Not Graded"

Tap "Save"

That significantly reduces the amount of clutter in my "Grades" tab.

**Full disclosure - I move all of my scores over to a different mandated software, so I don't use Canvas for my grade calculation.
