Greetings all,
Can I make custom images, say of various plants, and then embed them in a table and have each of those images link to the corresponding video? How to go about this? I can make the images in photoshop, then setup a HTML table etc. but can images take up the attributes of buttons?
thanks for the replies,
George.
Solved! Go to Solution.
@george_hatsidim , yes, you sure can do this! When you're in edit mode you should be able to select an image and then click on the hyperlink (paper clip) icon and enter in the URL to your video. Here's a guide that shows how to do this, just substitute clicking/selecting your image instead of selecting text in the directions - https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10305-4152719751

@george_hatsidim , if you want to try a different approach, check out @jnassif 's Image Mapping for a Homepage (aka Image with Multi Links) You'll also find guidance for displaying your videos directly in tables in https://community.canvaslms.com/message/14900
Now that you have learned how, please keep in mind that images used as links are not accessible. this should not be a problem since you are embedding them in a table and can include a logically named text-based link. Also, don't forget to design the table to also be accessible.
You can learn more about accessibility design guidelines for Canvas at https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-2060-general-accessibility-design-guidelines
I hope this helps,
