Hi,
Received a strange error while previewing a quiz after importing a simple canvas package. the message says - This question was imported from an external source. It was a '' question, which is not supported in this quiz tool. The canvas package was created in the same environment and no edits were done to the package after exporting and the issue is observed when question has embedded audio file in it. Also attaching the steps to replicate this error in a screen captured video. Any quick solution or help is highly appreciated? Thank you in advance

Hi @nilesh_shinde
I recreated your steps and received the same error when creating a quiz with a question that has an uploaded audio file and then export the course and finally importing that course package back into a course.
Now, I did not receive the error when I went into another Canvas Course and copied the quiz over instead of using the export option and it worked perfectly. Just an option in case you need to quickly get the quiz over into another course.

Hi Dale,
Appreciate the prompt response and thank you so much
. Your suggestion for copying the quizzes is really good to know and will definitely be very much useful in future, thank you very much for letting me know about the same as i'm new to Canvas. However, will be looking to get a resolution that will help out with package import / export since I'm working on packages than working on the actual courses in Canvas. I will also be posting another query regarding how the embedded audio files within the question are handled by Canvas and how the same will be handled through a package import. I am working on some sample to test the same.
Thank you so much for your quick response.
Best Regards,
Nilesh
We are giving the Canvas Admins area a little bit of love (especially questions that are really, really old) and just want to check in with you. This will also bring this question new attention.
