[ARCHIVED] Export New Quiz as LTI file

I do not see a way to export in a usable manner a single New Quiz.

Implies it is possible to select export as a QTI ZIP file.   I see this option with old quizzes but not new ones.

If I try to export selected course content only old quizzes are offered, none of my migrated new style quizzes are listed.  Could it be that because New Quizzes are an external resource, such an option is not available?

Or is there a way to export the whole course and pick an chose New Quizzes ?  If so, and the only option is to pick from the whole course a single item to import, this is rather cumbersome.

Hi @mboldin 

Remember, New Quizzes would be listed as assignments in a course copy. Anyways, this guide should get you there, How do I copy a quiz to another course in New Quizzes?

Thanks  -- this page is useful for New Quizzes. 

I also found I can export a full course and find a New Quiz as an Assignment to import one item.  The tricky part is when I use random selections from a Question Bank (for a New Quiz) . It seem to work fine for my own course, buit might take extra steps for others so use.

It would be useful for the New Quiz team to explian all of the copy options and best practices -- as it seems the New types are less transportable than a Classic Quiz since there is not a direct to LTI file option.

I suspect the requester is asking if it is possible to export a New Quiz as a QTI file.

I hope we can get clarification as to whether this functionality will be added to New Quizzes. If Canvas is migrating to a proprietary quiz format that cannot be transported to other LMSs, our instructors will be unhappy.

AFAIK, it's not possible to export a New Quiz as a QTI file. I called Canvas support and there's no way to share new quiz question banks outside of an institution.
