I want to bump this question...I posted this a year ago and am still looking for the answer. Thanks to any that have figured out creative solutions!
I know there have been plenty of feature requests over the last year asking for more stats in the gradebook. And it seems those didn't garner much traction.
My question is this - how do all of you help the teachers who want more robust statistics out of the gradebook (median, standard deviation, etc).
I know the common answer will be export to excel and manipulate there. However, it would be so nice to have it shown right in canvas without the extra work.
Does anyone have a creative solution? Is there a 3rd party vendor that integrates with Canvas in this regard?
Hi,
Well I would be interested to know too. I can tell you that our teachers have not asked for this but anything graded in Canvas is exported and imported to their official gradebook but I know this question might be coming soon. I have looked over the Edu AppCenter and don't see anything there.
Thank you for posting this question some time ago. Canvas has progressed some and there are new solutions in the New Gradebook and New Canvas Analytics. There are also more advanced resources through Canvas Data Services. I hope more people will join the discussion here and share what they're working on. Because there is no one correct answer I would like to switch this question over to a discussion, but there is a limitation in Jive that won't let me do this when someone marks that they have the same question. So it will remain a question (marked as assumed answered) but I hope the discussion continues.
