[ARCHIVED] How Do I Download an Audio Media Recording?

I recorded an audio file as part of a Canvas page. After I recorded it, I realized I would need to post a transcript and would like to download the file into a utility which will automatically generate a transcript.

Some have indicated that a right-click --> 'Save As' would allow me to save the audio file.  But, when I follow the outlined procedure (play my audio recording --> right click --> Save as),  I get an html file and a folder full of page resources, none of which appears to be an audio file (most have the extension .download).  I've included a couple images of what was downloaded (the file applause.mp3 is my file and not part of the downloaded resources).

Any other ideas on how to download the audio ?

Almost two years ago, I wrote a blog posting here in the Community called Downloading Your Uploaded Media.  I've not tested out my steps in quite some time, and I'm not sure if any of the information in my blog would meet your needs, but I wanted to provide you a link to it just in case.
