[ARCHIVED] Include Readings in an Essay Exam

I am giving a writing test in which students need to summarize a reading passage. I currently have the passage before the text box, but it requires a lot of scrolling to get to the beginning of the passage. Is there a better way to include the reading, such as having it in a pop-up window or having a split screen with the reading passage on one side and the text box on another?

Hi Shireen,

Yes, you could give the students the option to open the text in a separate window as a page.  Another idea would be to use hot links to let students jump to the top or bottom of the passage.
