[ARCHIVED] Making Honorlock available only to DE classes

Howdy!

At our university, Honorlock is paid for by our DE (Distance Education) program and therefore only they should have access to it. Right now, Honorlock sits hidden in the main course navigation menu but can be added to any course if the professor finds it and decides to use it.

Is there a way to restrict Honorlock only appearing to / being available for the DE courses?

Unfortunately, that is not possible in Canvas.

There might be a work-round.......

• Create a sub-account for your DE courses (How do I create a sub-account?),
• If possible, install Honorlock on that sub-account only, making it available in Course Navigation,
• Delete Honorlock from the main account.

You will want to try this in your Test or Beta instance of Canvas first.
