Hi all,
A course I taught recently ended, and now it is unavailable to its student participants (perhaps I archived it?). I'd like to make it available to students again (i.e. unarchive it). Is there any way to do this?
Thanks,
Peter

Hi Peter:
You could not have archived your course, for the simple reason that there is no archive feature in Canvas. So rest easy on that account.
Student access to courses is controlled at the account level by your school's Canvas Admin. They set the dates/times courses will be available to both students and teachers based on term dates and school policy. You will likely need to contact your school's Canvas admin.
However, depending on the permissions granted to teachers by your school, you might be able to change the end date for the course in course Settings. This guide will get you there: How do I change the start and end dates for a course?
Good luck,
Kelley

Thanks for your reply. I'm running the course independently, so course administration is not being run by my school. The course end date is also set for Dec 31st 2020. So neither of these solutions seem to help. The course is listed in my course list under "Past enrolments", and many of the course options are blocked in Settings, but the course is apparently still published. I'm confused.

Try this...........
Go to Setting and check the box that reads, "Students can only participate in the course between these dates"
Good luck,
Kelley
Thanks, but still no luck - this option is already checked, and is additionally greyed out so I couldn't change if I wanted to.

Have you tried submitting a support ticket? How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor?
I would also suggest looking over Free-for-Teacher Account FAQ
