What teacher management software (Hapara, GoGuardian, etc.) works best with Canvas and chromebooks?

Can you explain what you mean by "teacher management software"?  What does it do?

These are programs that allow teachers to whitelist and blacklist websites as well as push websites to student computers. Some also allow for screen sharing and locking of computers.

This is really interesting. Our IT department handles our whitelist. I'm not sure what software they use. Respondus has a lock down browser, etc. features. They work with Canvas, however not sure about Chromebooks. If you looking for a proctoring service- we use ProctorU, but it sounds like your teachers do the proctoring as well.

Your hunch was right on Respondus. Since it is a web browser itself, it does not work on Chromebooks.

We are 1:1 with Chromebooks and LOVE GoGuardian.  We have used others in the past - but love GoGuardian.

We also use Hapara, but not for that feature.

I hope you are still out here answering questions. Can you explain exactly how Canvas works with GoGuardian? We are migrating from Google Classroom to Canvas, but we use GoGuardian. Looking for information to make it easier for our teachers. Thanks!

Have you had success with setting up a "scene" (filtering session) for a quiz given on Canvas?

It looks like a few great resources have been shared that help with this. We are excited about trying Aerohive's HiveSchool which just came out in beta this month and is free (at least for year 1).
