[ARCHIVED] Wanting to visit a Sydney school using Canvas 12 August 2019

I'm headed to CanvasCon and wondered if there were any Sydney schools using Canvas heavily that would welcome a visit Monday 12 August (the day before the conference)?

I'm the eLearning Middle Leader at St. Monica's College, Cairns: an all-girls Catholic school (7-12) in the Mercy tradition. I would love to see a similar school though am open to seeing a variety of schools.

I would appreciate any ideas of schools to contact and the correct person to contact.

Hi Chris,

I can put you in touch with a school on the outskirts of Sydney, at Oatlands NSW 2117. Its a small (330) private school with a christian foundation. Canvas and Zoom are integral to their 'self-directed learning' pedagogy.

If I can secure funding for travel to CanvasCon, I would also love to schedule time with people from other schools to chat all things Canvas. I've had the amazing opportunity of connecting with a few Canvas schools, and would love for a few of my teachers to have a similar experience.

We are an independent IB school, reaching all levels from Early Learning - Year 13. Currently we are in the middle of rolling out Canvas in Years 1-13.  I think we would benefit from hearing from schools who are using Canvas in the primary years and also from anyone in the Middle and Senior schools. 

I've seen in the APAC group that there are those getting together the night before the conference. Might this be a good time for this type of discussion?  @Bobby2 ‌  @kflowers ‌
