Hi!  Sorry you are having trouble with getting the conference started.  May I ask what browser you are using?  It is recommended that you use Chrome or Firefox to access the Conferences interface.

I am having the same issue and so are my coworkers. Is this something that just started happening?? I am immediately being redirected to Blindside (through Chrome) and this never used to happen. This is slightly urgent as I have 100 students on a conference call next week and myself and my coworkers are all depending on this platform.

It could be due to the amount of traffic on the site or a glitch.  I would recommend that you create a support ticket and submit it to the Canvas service cloud and ask Canvas support as they might know if this is a common issue.  I would also recommend that reach out directly to Big Blue Button/Blindside networks as this is the company that manages the application and would be able to provide you with more information.  Hope this helps.

I am so sorry you are having this problem.   I completely understand.  It might be a good idea to come up with a back up plan, just in case.  Maybe you could use Google Meet, Zoom, or something else such as Microsoft Teams?  Either way, please let your Canvas admin know about this so he/she can look into this issue.

I am using Chrome and I have tried Firefox and Safari as well. I can make a conference but then I am unable to join or start. I just get redirected to Blindside

I solved this mystery.   If the Canvas user doesn't have a name set on their profile, they will not be allowed in to a Conference room and will be redirected to blindside networks homepage.  To fix it,  simply go in to the account profile settings and edit the profile.  Add a name to the profile and you should be allowed to join conferences like normal instantly and you won't get redirected.
