Hi.

I'm a teacher who use canvas as a platform in my courses and I would like to know if it is possible to see who has read my announcement? Since I use this to send out important information, it would be great if I could see who or at least how many in my course have opened the message and read it.

Hi @Linnea 

 While there isn't way to see who has viewed an announcement, you could set the announcement so that students can reply to the announcement, then in the body of the announcement ask them to do so. You could even create a little extra credit assignment to award them a point or two for doing so.

How do I allow or disallow announcement replies in a course?

Okay, so the question is answered. But the issue is not resolved. Would it really be difficult to generate a list of who in the class has read an announcement? I am disappointed in the analytics of Canvas in general. Let's step it up here!
