After grading an attempt on quizzes.next and marking it as "incomplete," the student retried the assignment and got enough points to get a "complete," but this higher score attempt did not show on speedgrader. (unlimited attempts and display highest are both enabled). It does show on moderate though. Why is this? The assignment was displayed as a "complete/incomplete" status and has both multiple choice and essay questions in it.
Did you enable the Allow Multiple Attempts option and select "Highest" in the Score to keep menu in the Settings page in your quiz? With both of those enabled, the quiz should keep the highest score and the latest attempt should show up for you in SpeedGrader and the Gradebook. If you've checked those settings and it's still not showing up, I recommend reaching out to our Canvas Support team for troubleshooting help (How do I get help with Canvas as an instructor? )
Thanks,
- Nathan
Yes, I have enabled both of those things. It still does not show up. When I enabled latest instead of highest, it still only showed the first graded attempt only on speedgrader. This is not the case for every student, just most of them.
I would just like to chime in and say the same thing is happening to me. It’s set to take the highest attempt, but SpeedGrader and the gradebook only show the first attempt, but using Moderate and their view of the assignment shows all attempts. Weird thing is, once I manually changed the grade to be the highest attempt, then that attempt shows up in SpeedGrader.
