Hi @kristine_gose Welcome to the Canvas Community!
All you need to do is publish it How do I publish a course?
If you are asking how to add students..............
Adding students depends on a couple factors (at least): is your school using an installation of Canvas or are you using a Free-for-Teachers (FFT) version of Canvas?
If your school has a Canvas instance: your enrollments will most likely happen through the school, but not all the time. Check out this guide if your school is not managing student enrollments in Canvas How do I add users to a course? However, I would strongly suggest talking with your school's Canvas Admin/Support department.
If you are using Free For Teachers: you can find a great discussion at Adding new users to FFT , and you may also want to participate in this focus group Free-For-Teachers
