[ARCHIVED] notification for a specific discussion board forum

Hello,

I'm passing along an idea for a feature that would be helpful to have in Canvas: turning on immediate notifications for a *specific* discussion board forum. Right now I have several discussion boards going with lots of chatter. I do not want a notification for all five forums at once - that would be overwhelming; I just want immediate notifications for one of the forums so I can respond to it quickly.

I think this is a great idea for Canvas and future feature requests. I do see how that would be helpful for you as an instructor. 

The closest thing I could find to this is the Subscribe feature you can configure on discussions in your courses. HERE is a guide that goes over how that works. Have you submitted that idea yet? HERE a link to the Canvas Ideas page.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm automatically subscribed to all the discussion boards I created. Since I have several of them going on at once, I had to adjust my overall notification settings to manage the overload. Thanks for your help!
