This is a good idea,  @schulzi  , but you have posted it to the Q&A forum. I would suggest submitting it as a feature idea. Learn more at How does the feature idea process work in the Canvas Community?‌

As a feature Idea, I think I could only support this if it was an option I could toggle off.  I do not add grading comments to discussions for several reasons...........

• Because discussions are viewable to all students and there are privacy concerns in sharing grading comments,
• My comments are intended to promote the conversation by the student and the rest of the class,
• My comments tend to promote additional learning by both the target student and the rest of the class,
• My replies tend to be formative rather than summative or even supporting of a summative assessment.

Many more thought as to why I would not use this feature, but my thoughts do not mean it is a bad idea by any means.
