Help with Publishing/Unpublishing Modules

Who can explain to me why some of these buttons are grey (right side of screen-unpublished) and why I can't see the ones that are published -( green) . 

I was able to see them both; now I can't.

Hi  @amkstevens63  Welcome to the Canvas Community. The ones in gray are unpublished, so that can be rectified easily by just clicking on the gray icon (the "null set"-looking icon) directly, which will turn that icon to a green checkmark to indicate it's published.  I'm a bit confused when you say you were able to see them, but not don't.  Do you mean you can't see in them in the Student View?  That's working as expected, but in case you mean you can't see anything in that module at all, be sure that the module itself has been published, which is extremely easy to forget about.  Check here: https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10114-4152180497
