Any Updates on Ability for Multiple Listings on One Course?

At InstructureCon this year there was considerable discussion about creating multiple listings for one course based on different sections in the course. I see this is on the idea board, and I heard that this was in active development, so I am curious if this is actually the case and if there is an eta for when this might be available?

Thank you for reaching out and for attending InstructureCon. We really appreciated the conversations that took place there. You're absolutely right that the ability to create multiple listings for a single course based on different Canvas sections has been a popular request. We have been actively working on it, and I’m excited to share that the first iteration of this feature will be available in the beta environment starting next Tuesday.

To give you a preview of what’s included in this initial release, here’s a walkthrough video:

The final version, which will include additional functionality based on early feedback, is planned for release in Q1 of next year.

@matekiss this looks really great. I would note that it is often useful, when we are creating listings for multiple courses that have similar or sequential names, to have courses for which a listing was already created disappear from the list of available courses. Could you include a checkbox to allow the user to select whether they want to see courses for which listings have already been created? Overall, this is a very useful feature. We often have instances of the same course with multiple sections that we would like to run and this addresses that very cleanly. As recently as a couple of months ago we had to go back into the listing and change the default section so that cohort 2 students weren't getting enrolled in the cohort 1 section. 🙏
