Self Bundling Products in Catalog

Scenario: We offer several 30-60 minute instructional videos. We'd like to offer discounts for bundling some of these offerings and have done some bundling through the course program feature in Catalog. Now we'd like to allow the participant to bundle their own. For example, each individual offering is $20 but bundled you can purchase 3 for $45. How could we offer a participant choice of 3 where they are free to pick any of the 3 individual titles they wish rather than choose from our pre-bundled choices. I feel like this *should* be available via promotion but I'm not sure how to do that. Any ideas?

This isn't possible. You can only offer promotions by listing or subcatalogs.

Could you use a coupon code to discount the cost of the third course from $20 to $5?

I looked into this. It seems that promotions are on single things...so an individual program or course. No way for someone to bundle on their own without having to contact me for a code to discount their choices. That's going to be our short-term solution until we find another.
