"Copy this course" and Power School

We use PowerSchool. I am confused about the best/easiest way to tell teachers to transfer course material from a Semester 1 PowerSchool course to a Semester 2 PowerSchool course. I know they can share their course to Commons and then import the content into their S2 course. I'm curious about the "Copy this course" button. Does that create a stand alone shell that is not tied to PowerSchool or will the resulting copy be a PowerSchool course? Or does the teacher still need to open the Semester 2 shell that PowerSchool has created and import content from somewhere?

Hi @khook1 

If PowerSchool is set to create new shells for each term, then faculty should open the new shell and use course copy to import the content into the new shell. See How do I copy a Canvas Course into a new course shell?
