I have a student who uses JAWS to navigate Canvas. Wile working in Firefox we've noticed that every time the student enters a short answer text box Jaws indicates the student is in the text box, but is then redirected to the context menu for editing text. In Chrome and Edge the student can enter a textbox on an exam question and immediately type their answer without having to exit the Context Menu options. To exit the context menu the student has to press escape, which if pressed twice causes the student to leave the question entirely.
It's unclear if this is how Firefox operates by default, but if possible it would help for the navigation on short answer questions to remain consistent across all browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, etc.). The solution would be to have JAWS users navigate into the textbox and type by default without having to close out the context menu.
