There is not currently a means to capture a snapshot of a Beta environment to make an emergency backup. This should be something that customers have the ability to request. We had a catastrophic unenrollment scenario and because Canvas doesn't reinstate certain things when users are re-enrolled (namely group enrollments and enrollments in assignment overrides/differentiated assignments), there's a need to restore these manually and we did this by looking at our Beta environment to restore those settings. In the event of needing to restore data in the production environment, it becomes necessary to store a copy of the Beta environment away while the restoration work is completed, even if it's just for a few weeks.
Please provide a way to preserve a snapshot of the Beta instance upon request, for emergency situation. Alternatively, there could be a means to "halt" refreshes to the Beta environment for a particular instance. This would serve the same purpose in helping maintain an instance and its data for a certain period of time.
