[Announcements] Post announcements in multiple courses at once

I would like to see a feature in Canvas that allows you to create an announcement then choose multiple courses  in which you would like to see the announcement posted.  The current process is time consuming and tedious; you create the announcement then open each course and copy and paste it into each separately.

Thanks for sharing your idea! Would you like to continue copying your announcement "out" of the course, or would it work to publish to multiple courses simultaneously?

Being able to post to multiple courses would work as well. That would eliminate the extra steps of publishing the original then going back in to copy. I may not always need to send it to every course, so perhaps having check boxes for the courses we want it to go to would be the way to go.

Problem statement:

I see the fuctionality provided by the Global Announcement except to a teacher's published courses. I instruct 14 - 16 classes per semester, 7 - 8 per term (half semester).

Proposed solution:

i would like to be able to post announcements to all of my Published Courses, rather than having to create one announcement and copy pasting the Title and Content to each published course. Thank You!

Problem statement:

I teach multiple sections of the same course, and I usually have similar/same announcements for both sections. I have to enter each section's Canvas page to type the announcement separately (or copy-paste).

Proposed solution:

Please add an option where the announcement can be sent out to multiple sections rather than entering the message into each section's canvas page separately to duplicate it. It would help eliminate duplicate work.

Problem statement:

When teachers create an announcement in one course and if they want to post the same announcement on multiple courses ( different courses) , they have to copy it to one other course at a time. Each time, they can choose only one course to copy into and then come back again to the original announcement and copy it to another course. This is time consuming, especially if this a weekly task for teachers that use the same announcement across all courses.

Proposed solution:

Teachers should be able to create an announcement in one course and copy it to multiple courses at one given time. When choosing to copy , we should see a drop down menu with check boxes be able to check all courses that it needs to be copied into , so this can be done in one go. As of now, we have to copy the announcement into each course one at a time. Most Announcements are not "course specific" and rather teacher specific or program specific and so allowing it to be copied to multiple courses at once saves valuable teacher time.
