So far, teachers can only choose to ignore the best/worst (overall) scores of activities in assignment groups. But what if students can only achieve a maximum of X points in an assignment group? For example, there are 5 quizzes, each worth 5 points (i.e. a maximum of 25 points). However, you only want students to receive a maximum of 15 points. This can be achieved by having fewer points in several quizzes, or only 3 quizzes with full points, or having more points and then " cutting " the points. This is a very common use case at our university.
It should be possible to define another rule, e.g. based on an assignment group, according to which only a maximum of X points can be achieved for all activities in this assignment group. If more points are obtained in total, the result will be cut off and only the modified result will appear in the gradebook. It is necessary that the different activities assigned to a assignment group appear as a unit in the gradebook, i.e. not the 5 quizzes (e.g.) individually - but possibly the title of the assignment group with the possibly modified result.
