My students are confusing lock dates and due dates because of the way the list of assignments displays in Canvas. This is creating tremendous amounts of late work and confusing when late submissions are accepted (because they're not locked) but counted as late.
It would be great if the lock date was hidden. Or if there was a feature that could maybe grey out the assignment after they lock. I get students need the info to plan, but relying on it is an issue that causes them to miss other key components of the course. (Plus, it's causing brig grading backups on my end, so I might have to move to making the due date and lock date the same.)
