[Assignments] Hide or remove points from assignment

I would like to have the option to remove or hide points from assignments.

This would help draw the focus towards formative comments.  The majority of assignments at our school are graded complete/incomplete, and then comments provide useful feedback.  The point score has little educational value for us.

The gradebook becomes increasingly less useful if it is simply recording numeric scores. Would like to see a more flexible approach that is not tied to summative scores - a process when has limited impact or long term benefit. 

Would like to see a far more flexible gradebook. Seems very tied/aligned to a particular education model/system.

Wish someone could be working on some options that would allow you to turn on/off these features...

I work at an arts school, and it would be helpful for our faculty to be able to hide points on assignments as well as having a gradebook that is not tied to a points model.
