Teachers giving assessments through Canvas would like the option to allow students to have multiple attempts on the same assignment AFTER the assignment has been graded and the teacher has had the opportunity to conference with the student regarding their grade. Currently, Canvas has it set so multiple attempts are automatically accessible.
Allow teachers to set an access code for students to complete another attempt or have a way for teachers to release a second attempt to students based on their scores. This would allow teachers the opportunity to discuss the assignment with the student and give students the opportunity for remediation prior to another attempt.
