Currently, all courses that are associated with a Blueprint are modified when changes in the Blueprint course are synced. This seems like a potential problem for a course's historical data, in cases where it may need to be referenced in the future. An example would be a student appeal is being researched and changes have been pushed to the course at some point after the conclusion of the course, potentially making the info found through research inaccurate.
A proposed solution to this problem would be for administrators to have the ability to select an option that disables syncing changes to courses that have met either their course end date or term end date for the associated course. I think this setting would be useful to enable at the LMS instance settings level.
