[Calendar] Enhanced Section - to be used as or in a Home Page
The current calendar shows assignments based on due dates. It would be helpful and beneficial to have the option to also show assignments based on start or "availability dates" This would allow students to see the items we are working on daily in addition to the due date. Teachers that are using the Calendar would also like to have the ability to embed the calendar into a Home Page and provide those calendar dates for what they are working on in class on a particular day, in addition to just a due date display. They would also like to be able to upload images or GIFs into the calendar spaces for school activities and holidays.
It would be beneficial to have a calendar section in Canvas with the following features: - Self-feed of important dates (A day, B day, holidays, etc.) - Editable fields where teachers can add fun images and GIFs - Automatic addition of assignment links into the calendar based on the assignment's start date
