Sometimes, students would need to switch between similarly-offered Canvas Courses or Canvas Programs. For example, a student may need to change from Catalog Program A to Catalog Program B due to specific circumstances. To do this, students need to drop themselves and re-enroll into the correct course/program. This causes a lot of hassle for the students, especially if this is a paid course/program. A workaround would be to create a promotion code for the students to re-register with, but this takes a lot of back and forth between admins and the students. From the administrator's perspective, there's no easy way of assisting the student in switching between courses/programs. We could masquerade as the student, drop them from the course, then run a script to add them into the correct program/course. However, dropping and re-adding does not return people to the same state (with their group memberships, quiz/assignment accommodations, etc.). This particular bit can become an issue if we are trying to switch students between programs that share course requirements.
Allow administrators the ability to switch a student's enrollment from a particular Catalog course or program.
