Copy SCORM Activities into new sections

Hoorah that we have SCORM in Canvas! But HUGE bummer that the activities don't copy over from semester to semester. You have to reinstall it in every section which makes copying it out to multiple instructors to use each semester very difficult. It's not scalable as is. Can we make it so the activities stay active when copied into a new Canvas section?

This idea was requested in May of 2015 but was archived for lack of votes - Include SCORM objects on course imports. Let's not let this feature pass us up again!

Thanks for adding your vote Melody! Could you recruit other people from Colorado State to vote this up as a priority? We need more votes!

This option would open up a whole new dynamic for student interaction.  We start new classes every month and the current SCORM import process has been too time prohibitive to take advantage of.  This is my number 1 desire for Canvas.

This is critical if institutions are ever going to use SCORM effectively in Canvas.

This is a very important thing to build.  We want to utilize Articulate Storyline and have been hard pressed to cleanly integrate it.  If we reference the output html file then it doesn't render in every browser.  The html5 file won't progress in chrome.  The flash file doesn't play nicely with iOS (or most mobile platforms, to be honest).  The SCORM upload option works absolutely beautifully, but the projects obviously don't copy.  We don't have the bandwidth to be re-uploading each Storyline project to every section of the course each term.  That would be ridiculous; we would probably need to hire a temp or even a FT ID assistant.  We really need SCORM to copy when the course content is imported.  Without this feature SCORM is mostly useless to us.

This would be wonderful if it worked the way it is supposed to!  YES and YES!
