[Course Import/Export] Sorting option for course list when importing (NEWEST to OLDEST)

Problem statement:

After a recent Canvas update that included changes to the Import Content feature, the course list to import from (when importing part or all of an existing Canvas course) is now sorted from oldest course to newest course. As a result, it takes an already "clicky" piece of software and makes the simple task of even finding a current course even longer. In my case, I have courses from 2017-present that I need to sort through now (261 as of when I counted yesterday) just to find my current classes when I want to import material from one to another. All have almost identical names so searching by name is not of use, and I can't even just scroll to the bottom of the list because I have a bunch of never-been-used summer school courses that were set up at some point. Both Canvas and my district IT people say it's not possible to delete these old or unused courses. I have had teachers tell me that I should just "copy to" the quizzes or assignments I want to move as a possible workaround. What I, specifically, need to be able to move though is question banks, and there is no option to "copy to" those banks. When I write my tests or assignments, I make a mid-level question bank first, then import those into my upper and lower level courses so that I can adapt them as needed for those courses. As it is now, importing is my only option, and the mid-year update that was just done made that an unnecessarily longer process.

Proposed solution:

I would like to see either a "sort by" feature so that we could choose how to order the courses, OR simply put it back the way it was prior to a week ago where it automatically put current ones first. Of course, another possible solution would be if we were able to use the "copy to" feature with question banks like we can already do with assignments or tests. Whatever is easiest....anything would be better. WHY? Prior to this update, our current classes were *right there* and quick to find. As I mentioned above, I have to scroll through 261 courses from prior years that have almost identical names just to try to find the right ones to copy from now. I use this feature probably 4-5x per week and this adds additional time basic tasks on software that , over the years, has gotten progressively less user-friendly with every mid-year update.

Problem statement:

Currently, the list of courses in the Import Existing Content page displays courses in order from oldest to newest which makes it difficult to quickly find the most recent courses. The search by course option is there but this feature would help teachers in case they don't know the exact name and want to be able to view the most recent past courses.

Proposed solution:

It would be helpful if the default sorting could be changed so that the most recent courses appear at the top of the list so teachers can easily access their most recent past courses.
