[Course Settings] Custom links in Navigation Area

Problem statement:

Currently, navigation links are dictated, instructors can only show or hide them! To make it easier for students to find content and make navigation clearer, there is a need for instructor to add a custom link to the navigation area (feature already exist in Blackboard). Such a link would point to content that is not an assignment, does not fit under the home page or syllabus. Example: instructions to log into weekly virtual sessions, downloading material from book vendor site, etc...

Proposed solution:

Allow instructors to add custom links to navigation area, A link could point to a page existing in the course.

Instructors can customize the course navigation through Course Settings.

How do I manage Course Navigation links? 

Additionally, using the Redirect Tool in the Edu App center, you can customize your course navigation to include any link you'd like. If you have questions on how to set up the tool, the Canvas Question Forum would be a great place to connect with other instructors.
