[Course Settings] Locks on content for canvas

Problem statement:

As Rutgers continues to use online class more frequently, supervisors for the instructors need access to the Canvas classes. The issue is some supervisors are not as tech savvy as others and may alter some of the content when looking at a class. While I know they can be added as a TA or Observer some want to be added as a Teacher. This means they have total access to the class.

Proposed solution:

The solution for this issue is to allow the Professor for the class to lock the modules/discussion boards/exams so there is no inadvertent changes made to the content. This way when a supervisor is looking at the class they can not change anything without the actual teacher unlocking the content or changing it based on the supervisors request.

@christine_paoli We will not be considering this idea at this time. Have you considered creating a custom role for this type of situation? We have permissions for managing course content that could be disabled.
