Problem statement:

As a third-party publisher, we frequently hear from educators and students about limitations when using external tools within Canvas courses. Specifically, the current iframe size can restrict the user experience for highly interactive content.

Proposed solution:

Several competing LMS platforms offer options to: 1. Open external tool content in full-screen mode, maximizing the available viewing area. 2. Allow users to dynamically expand and collapse the external tool iframe within the course window.
