Teachers upload 1.5 GB files to Canvas. We would like a way to stop this during the file upload process.
Like course quota, there should be a file size limit that can be applied to all users. This should be configurable by the Admin since different schools will have different limits they wish to set. There should an option to configure the message teachers would get if they try to upload a file higher than the set limit that directs them to an email address or web page for help on how to make their file smaller. Like course quota, it would be good to be able to set this for all courses as a default, but for an admin to make an adjustment in course settings to allow a higher limit if no other solution is viable - large data sets for example. We are trying to prevent 2 GB PPT and PDF files that with a bit of work could be made much smaller. This is an accessibility issue for students on slower connections and who cannnot afford very fast internet.
