I started using Canvas last semester but only began designing the content from scratch this semester, as my previous courses were transferred from Blackboard. One issue I’ve encountered is that Canvas only provides customer support via chat or phone, which has proven to be quite ineffective. I spent over four hours trying to set up a quiz, including a two-hour chat session that was cut off due to a time limit.
The main problem I’m facing is that Canvas automatically changes the names of uploaded files to the same default name, "quiz." For instance, I have several pools of questions that I upload individually to organize a quiz. However, once uploaded, all the files appear in Canvas with the identical name "quiz," making it impossible to distinguish between them. I’ve tried renaming the files, and while the new names are visible in the modules, when I attempt to link these files, they still all show up as "quiz." This is extremely frustrating.
I’ve reached out to my OIT personnel for help, but they informed me that this issue is beyond their ability to resolve and suggested that I post my question here. I hope to receive a response soon.
