With the addition of the new "Apply Filters" option in the Gradebook, one can filter by submissions. But, when you choose "Has No Submissions" it only filters away the columns that have SOME submissions and leaves assignment columns with zero submissions. This seems odd considering how easy it is to see columns of assignments with no submissions upon entry to the Gradebook. Why there isn't a filter to allow instructors to filter by grade?
Considering that the "Has Submissions" filter filters off of student rows to show you which students have submissions for any assignments, the "Has No Submissions" filter should do the exact opposite so that instructors can see which students have no submissions across all assignments or just a few selected assignments. Additionally, adding a filter for the grade column which would filter out students with grades above 60% for mid-semester reporting to services like Starfish would be extremely helpful. Having the opposite where instructors could filter to see which students are excelling in the course so that they can get an estimate of the percentage of students that are doing well during specific points of the course would also be beneficial to instructors that would want to see those statistics to help make adjustments to the course content.
