With regard to mass entering a grade, currently all students receive the same grade, existing grades are replaced, and students that haven’t completed an assignment/submitted an assignment also receive the same grade.
There should be an option to only mass grade ungraded (and submitted assignments) versus blanketing the gradebook. This could be as simple as adding two check boxes, one that states “do not replace existing grades if grade exists” and “do not enter grades for students who have not submitted an assignment.” This would be the most accurate way to mass enter grades and would require less manual "fixing" by the instructor.
