Canvas gradebook section filter no longer filters only active students; it includes all students in a section including concluded students (aka, completed students). This makes it difficult to manage active student grades. This is especially true for a continuous enrollment post secondary vocational school such as where I teach. Our courses are never concluded so we always have concluded students in a section.
Please create an additional filter to filter by student status (active, inactive, concluded). It would be nicest to be able to select one or more statuses although this is not currently available for any gradebook filter. Just being able to filter "active students" would be a blessing. I would suggest that "active students" be the default student status filter.
