In Inbox, after performing any action (e.g. send / reply / archive a message), there is an alert box to acknowledge the action. On desktop within the browser, the alert box currently takes up roughly 80% or 90% of the window’s width. Where it shows up covers up all of the buttons. The X button to close the alert is far off to the side of the screen and is not big. The problem is after replying to a student’s message, I can't archive the message quickly unless I manually close the box, but aiming for the X is just as challenging as waiting for the alert to disappear after 10-15 seconds.
1. Add keyboard shortcuts to Inbox action, similar to GMail and some other browser-based web apps. This will improve accessibility too. 2. Shorten the width of the alert box. It does NOT need to take up 80-90% width! 3. Enlarge the X, or make it easier to see. Alternatively, make [Esc] a hotkey to close alerts.
