We operate a distance education school, and our parents use the Observer account to track their student's progress through the course. A consistent "error" report is that the observer is unable to see the green ticks on the module view as their student completes work in a course, and then clicks "mark as done" at the end of each lesson. There is currently no functionality for the supervisor to see these green ticks - they simply do not appear.
I propose that Canvas enable Observers to see these green ticks. This would prevent parents feeding back the error that the green ticks are "missing" for them, and would give them further useful information about how their student is progressing in each course.
