[New Analytics] Tracking Single Student Log in and time across all courses

Problem statement:

It would be nice to have a report that will track everyone's time in the platform. For instance if I have a student Billy Joel who is not performing well, I can pull up just his account and see when that student logged in and for how long they were logged in for. That way when a parent asks about time spent in the system I can pull one report on that student and show what they have or have not been doing in Canvas Kind of like a bank statement, it shows all transactions that have been made with in the platform.

Proposed solution:

Have a spot where you can search a students name, and it pulls up all the times they have logged in, clicked around, submitted assignments. A track record for what they are doing with in the system. That goes for everyone, that is how I would check my TA's hours in my last LMS.

Have you explored the data available in New Analytics? This feature allows you to see data in various forms, including at the individual level. I think this would be a great place to start, as while students can sign on, their "how long they were in the course" isn't always an accurate way to measure engagement and activity. I also like how you can see their participation over time.

How do I view New Analytics for a student in a course?

This is a great resource and I appreciate you sending it over to me. The issue I am running into is, when trying to monitor over 400 students, its very time consuming to  go into each one of their classes and check the New Analytics tab. 

It would be amazing to see getting a section created where you can search a student and have drop downs for all of their classes and see all that New Analytics data in one spot, rather then having to go to each individual class room. Is there something like that, that I maybe missing?
