[New Quizzes] Ability for a Teacher to Pause a Quiz/Test for a Student

Problem statement:

Teachers in our district would love the ability to stop/pause a student's test/quiz after they start. So many times, a student gets called out of class after starting a test and then they have it in an open status when leaving class. Now we can put a time on it originally, but there are two issues with this: 1. A student could leave and look up answers or ask someone else do it for them within that timeframe. 2. A student could leave and forget about it and when time runs out, they can't go in and finish. They have to start over once again.

Proposed solution:

Once a quiz/test is open for students to take/complete, give teachers the ability to pause a quiz/test for a specific student (or multiple students) until they can return to class to finish. Once the student returns to class, the teacher would also need to the ability to un-pause the quiz/test so the student could pick up where they left off to complete the activity.

Problem statement:

At the secondary level, we desperatley need an ability for teachers to "PAUSE" a student test. Scenario: Student has Period 1 Math Test Student has extended time accommodation (time extension is easily added in "Moderate Quiz"). However, the student is alotted more time that the 60 minute period (student gets time and a half "90 minutes"). Student has resource class with Sped Period 3. Which would be the ideal time to finish the rest of the test and use their accommodation. Currently, there is no way for the teacher to "PAUSE" the test at the end of Period 1, and then "RESUME" the test for this student Period 3 when they get to their resource class. This is long overdue and would have a HUGE positive impact on some of our kids that need the best support. Regards, Mr K-

Proposed solution:

Add this feature within "Moderate this Quiz". Doing so should pause the time, and also lock the student out of the quiz. A teacher or TA would then be able to "UNPAUSE" the quiz and the student could then resume.
